Truth and Beauty Gallery presents Salon Mémoire: 175 Tintypes from Quebec (1860 – 1920)  from 18 November to 2 December 2017 and feat. also a Collector’s Talk with Bill Jeffries on Saturday 25th November.

 A tintype, also known as a ferrotype, is a wet plate collodion photograph made by creating a direct positive on a thin sheet of metal coated with a dark lacquer or enamel and used as the support for the photographic emulsion.
