2021 has been a momentous year for the Art Fair 14C. In April it merged with Art House Productions in order to improve and expand the visual arts opportunities for the Jersey City community and beyond. The merger aims to provide better-structured resources and support each other in a more meaningful way.
“We’ve long been fans of Art House Productions and its commitment to artistic excellence and community engagement,” says Art Fair 14C founder and former AWAD NYC Chapter Chair Robinson Holloway. “A merger can be a business tool for growth, and it’s one that not many nonprofits use. Art Fair 14C and Art House Productions have complementary missions that serve both artists and audiences, and I think that in combination we can become Jersey City’s strongest and most dynamic arts organization.”
In addition to the merger for its 3rd Edition, Art Fair 14C has moved to a new location – The Glass Gallery at Mana Contemporary. The Glass Gallery is 30,000 sq feet of column-free exhibition space. The fair is November 12th – 14th, 2021 in Jersey City, New Jersey.
As New Jersey’s only art fair they provide support and growth opportunity for more than 50 exhibitors from their area and around the world. Exhibiting with them offers the opportunity to meet buyers and promote and sell artwork.
To fulfill that mission, Art Fair 14C offers exhibition booths substantially below cost. Exhibition booths come in three size categories, and they have set aside eight booths at an even lower rate in recognition of recent hard times for artists and galleries. A unique element of Art Fair 14C is The Juried Show, which is open to artists who live, or have a studio, in the state of New Jersey. Juried Show artists receive the opportunity to showcase a minimum of three pieces of art during the Fair. Juried Show artists also receive lifetime attendance to Art Fair 14C for themselves and a guest, as well as exhibition and residency opportunities during the rest of the year.
