AWAD galleries to participate in the Affordable Art Fair NYC March 30th – April 2nd

A sure sign of Spring in Manhattan is the Affordable Art Fair  NYC  in Chelsea. This year’s edition includes  70 local, national, and international galleries offering an array of original artwork at many price points. There are also tours for adults and art workshops for children and families. This year we are delighted to see artists from seven member galleries represented. Women Artists to Watch tour with Susan Mumford

On October 2nd, AWAD Founder and CEO Susan Mumford will take participants on a private tour at The Affordable Art Fair. 

Join Susan Mumford, trans-Atlantic art world expert, entrepreneur, speaker, author and mentor, who founded both the Association of Women Art Dealers (AWAD) and Be Smart About Art, for a talk on collecting with whistle-stop tour. Taking place prior to the fair opening for its final day, she’ll highlight six women artists from the same number of exhibiting galleries. Susan will be available to answer your questions about collecting and the art world in the event finalé, Q&A over coffee.

Program:

  • 9.45-10.00am: Arrivals (in reception).
  • 10.00-11.00am: Talk (collecting art from the insider’s view of the art world) and tour of the fair, highlighting 6 works at 6 galleries.
  • 11.00-11.20am: Q+A on the art world and collecting in the café

About the tour guide: Susan’s an entrepreneur in the art world, supporting a dynamic and changing industry. She founded the Association of Women Art Dealers in 2010, followed by Be Smart About Art in 2012.

The Association of Women Art Dealers is pleased to share that three member galleries are participating in the Affordable Art Fair NYC.  Decorazon Gallery, Elisa Contemporary Art and TAG Fine Art will among the galleries exhibiting at this annual event.
