Liaisons at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts

Thursday, July 6th, 2017

Kathryn Markel Fine Arts is pleased to present Liaisons, Nancy Cohen’s first solo show at the gallery.

Nancy Cohen is interested in the juxtaposition of fragility and strength, both in our personal lives and the environment. Her work investigates the journey of the individual navigating a perilous world, all while exploring the fragility of that world itself. Through personal study of waterways and collaborations with scientists and environmentalists, Cohen imbues her work with academic references to a natural world that is fighting back while constantly under threat.

A Touch of Glass – Works by Angela Glajcar & Michal Macků and introducing Marc Lepilleur at Karin Weber Gallery, Hong Kong

Wednesday, April 8th, 2015

The Karin Weber Gallery has announced the first of a series of exhibitions curated around the theme of materials in art. This week ‘A Touch of Glass’ brings together a body of new work by gallery artists Michal Macku and Angela Glajcar linked by their stylization of contrasts and the absence of colour.  The sensory impact of light reflections on their creations creates an almost poetic spatial experience comprising both delicacy as well as strong definition. This exhibition also introduces French sculptor Marc Lepilleur to Hong Kong for the first time. For more information, contact Karin Weber Gallery.
