AWAD, the Association of Women Art Dealers, is pleased to announce our latest members, Cardiff based Marlene Shalton of Gallery Off the Wall and Jessica Lloyd-Smith of Modern Art Buyer.

AWAD announces 3 Masterclasses designed for Art Dealers, Gallerists and Art Consultants

AWAD, the Association of Women Art Dealers, is pleased to announce a series of Masterclasses that are scheduled to take place between April and June. IT for Art Dealers (inc. databases) 25th April – Led by Francesca Geens of Digital Dragonfly, this 2 hour masterclass will take you through the IT essentials that any art dealer, gallerist or art consultant needs to consider to prevent costly problems, work effectively and maximise their businesses. The content will include examples and best practices and it has been designed to be interactive so bring your questions to the session.

PR for Art Dealers (an insider’s perspective) 30th May - Led by journalist Serena Fokschaner and designed for businesses involved in the arts who do, or want to do, their own publicity, the session offers an insider perspective on what journalists want from a press release – and how to deliver it. It combines exercises, sample releases and insider tips and is designed to be interactive, so please come armed with questions.

AWAD announces new members, the Hong-Kong based Karin Weber Gallery and Laurie MacLaren from Highgate Contemporary Art

AWAD, the Association of Women Art Dealers, is pleased to announce our latest members, the Hong-Kong based Karin Weber Gallery and her London representative Stephanie Braun as well as Laurie MacLaren from Highgate Contemporary Art.

We welcome the Karin Weber Gallery, who has shown contemporary art since 1999. In addition to Karin Weber, we also welcome Stephanie Braun who joined the Karin Weber Gallery in 2011 as the UK Representative. Believing that art encourages discussion and new experiences, the Gallery constantly strives to bring works with new dimensions to our Hong Kong, UK and international collectors, showcasing both established and emerging artists from Asia and Europe.
