Francesca Fiumano has had a passion for the arts since childhood. Visits to the beautiful cities of Rome, Florence, Sienna and Milan fill her childhood memories. Her familial link to Italy extends into the ethos of the gallery. Fiumano Fine Art specialises in the exhibition and promotion of both emerging and established artists from the UK and Europe with a strong focus on Italian art.
Having graduated from Reading University with a First Class Honours Degree Francesca was invited to complete a masters specialising in post war and contemporary art at the same University. During her studies she spent time working for both Christies and Bonham’s. The experience of working within the diverse auction house environment confirmed her desire to pursue a career in the contemporary art world.
In 2001, whilst still completing her Master’s Degree Francesca opened her first gallery in central London. The subsequent six years were spent working in partnership running a successful and vibrant contemporary art gallery. In the summer of 2007, her desire to expand the horizons of the gallery led her to open Fiumano Fine Art.
Since 2007 Fiumano Fine Art has increased the number of artists represented. Francesca works closely with her ‘gallery artists’ and stages several one-man and group exhibitions per year at the gallery in Connaught Street.
