At home in both the UK and Korea. Heashin Kwak was born in South Korea. She moved to London in 1994 to study. She gained MA in Communication Art and Design at Central St Martin’s, and an M.Phil in Communication Art and Design at Royal College of Art. She is director of Hanmi Gallery and also works as an Arts Consultant presenting Korean Art in the UK, and organises exhibitions of work by UK artists in Korea.
Hanmi Gallery is a new Art Gallery in London and Seoul. The Gallery’s vision is to promote contemporary Korean Art and Design, which is vibrant, innovative, and gaining international interest, and to further raise its presence in the West. It achieves its vision through curating and exhibiting work by Korean Artists in the UK and in Europe, and also by supporting the understanding and appreciation of Korean Art.
