Cheryl Sokolow has over 20 years of Art world experience with a Master’s Degree in Art History and Bachelor’s Degrees in both Art History and Anthropology.
The daughter of an international sculptor, she developed an interest in art at an early age, taking studio classes at the Art’s Students’s League in NYC and later curating her mother’s exhibitions. She began her career in the gallery world as art advisor and gallery director and later moved into the digital space as artnet’s director of business development where she has been a successful leader for over a decade.
In 2009 Cheryl founded C Fine Art specializing in the acquisition and exhibition of large-scale indoor and outdoor sculpture and sculptural works. She represents and exhibits the work of mid to late career artists with a focus on formal abstraction and excellence in execution and process.
C Fine Art participates in international art fairs including Art Hamptons, Artmarket Design and SOFA Chicago and Cheryl curates both gallery and public exhibitions.
Cheryl is the founding director and curator of the “Uncommon Ground”, Bridgehampton’s largest outdoor, season long sculpture exhibition featuring large scale sculpture spanning 5 acres and making sculpture accessible to community.
She serves on the Board of Directors for ATOA and is an active member of ArtTable..
