LaVon Kellner Art
LaVon Kellner’s rich background in marketing, sales and entrepreneurship took root at the fast-track management program at Hallmark Cards, which she entered on graduating from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. At Drake, she was the harpist for Governor Robert D. Ray. Once hired into Hallmark’s rotational management program, she discovered her love of sales innovation and in her early 20’s became the first woman in Hallmark’s (at that time) 75-year history to be awarded the company’s highest volume sales territory: Manhattan.
In 1995 she became founding President of Ethis Communications, Inc., a medical communications company that, along with its subsidiary companies—Ethis Healthtech, LLC, and Candeo Clinical Science Communications, LLC, a continuing medical education company—became the premier medical communications/medical education business in the eye care market. LaVon, through her emphasis on excellence and relationship selling, took her start-up company with its focus on quality content on a journey that led it to become the gold standard in eye care communications.
In 2016, LaVon sold her stake in the companies she co-founded in order to pursue her great passion for the arts. She holds frequent salons in her home where artists, museum scholars, gallerists and collectors mingle together to talk about common interests and discuss fine art.
