Young collectors are increasingly dominating the art market, and are poised to do so even more as the Great Wealth Transfer proceeds in the coming years. According to the 2025 Art Basel & UBS Global Collecting survey, nearly three-quarters of respondents were Gen Z or Millennial, as these generations, now in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, become the most active buyers across international markets.

But what does an art dealer need to know about what how these young collectors are approaching their acquisitions?
