Sea Change: Ellen Hackl Fagan launches ODETTA Digital
As a long-standing AWAD Member who strikes the balance between being a gallerist as well as professional artist, Ellen Hackl Fagan has launched her gallery’s participation with the SHIM Art Network with a bang.
She writes:
“We’re riding the crest of the sea change taking place in emerging/mid-level galleries with a transition into a new platform, ODETTA Digital in the SHIM Art Network, on Artsy.net. As galleries move into becoming online entities while observing safe social distancing practices, now it is a time to reset how we can help gallery artists get their work onto more visible shared platforms.
The SHIM Art Network, in tandem with Artsy.net, is a way to continue building community and sharing resources so that galleries and artists create a new sustainable practice.
ODETTA Digital is being created to expand the gallery roster and to offer inroads for shared exhibitions and art fairs in the future when we’re finally able to congregate again.
Our inaugural online exhibition launched with these new members on June 12, 2020. The exhibition, Sea Change, runs through September 10, 2020.”
