Red Hill Gallery is delighted to present internationally renowned artist Katherine Wood’s latest solo exhibition, Dancing with the Wind.
The events of the past two years have allowed the artist to reflect on stillness culminating in serene artworks that capture the feeling of calmness amidst the chaos. In the artist’s words, “this body of work reflects on the idea that although not everything in this life is in our control, if we are mindful and elevate ourselves out of the mind, that even in the turbulence we can find our center.”
We encourage you to become immersed in Wood’s artworks and surrender to the beauty, drama, and serenity that life holds. This exhibition will officially open on Friday 11th of March and continue until the 25th of March.
Katherine’s canvases are a battleground of manipulated and scraped textures that reflect a powerful energy with paint. The landscapes are abstracts of her imagination that are representative of no specific time frame, place or reality but rather a general energy or spirit of place and time. This allows one’s own imagination and interpretation to come into play.
