Art on a Postcard returns with their fifth annual International Women’s Day Auction featuring artist picks from eight guest female curators. Bidders can anticipate high-calibre, limited-edition postcard-sized artworks from a variety of emerging and established female artists with all proceeds going to the Hepatitis C Trust, specifically supporting the work they do with women affected by the criminal justice system, both in prison and local communities.
The auction spans two weeks, encompassing International Women’s Day on 8 March 2024, with eight mini all-female auctions taking place concurrently. As always, bidding starts at just £50 and the auction is widely considered to be an excellent showcase for spotting exciting emerging talent as well as acquiring highly collectible original works by established names.
Each of the guest curators will platform a selection of female artists, reimagining their practices to fit bespoke postcard sized designs. There will be a preview of the works at Bomb Factory, Covent Garden, where patrons can see all the original pieces together in person before placing their bids. This year’s auction is live from 27 February – 12 March 2024 via The Auction Collective.
The curatorial line up includes Alexandra Steinacker-Clark, Cura Art, Jo McLaughlin, Vanessa Murrell, Vittoria Beltrame, Women in Art and AOAP founder Gemma Peppe.
