Excitement is building for the Collect Art Fair (1-3 March 2024) at Somerset House, London, run by the Craft Council and now celebrating its 20th year. AWAD members, partners and friends will be meeting beforehand on Friday 1st March to discuss the challenges of coping with the anti-money laundering legislation, with expert speaker Danielle Thornton from our partners ArtAML, who are kindly sponsoring our event.
We’ll then be moving on to a private tour of the fair itself, where as always there is lots to see. Among the particular highlights this year is Cynthia Corbett Gallery at Stand W6, West Wing and on the Stamp Staircase. This will the ninth year that AWAD founding member, Cynthia Valianti Corbett, has exhibited at the fair. Among the artists at her show are: Margo Selby, Matt Smith, Anne-Laure Cano, Jemma Gowland, Freya Bramble-Carter, Emilie Taylor, Amy Hughes, Valerie Bernardini, Ebony Russell, SaeRi Seo and Jess Riva Cooper.
In addition, long-standing friend of AWAD, Charmaine Beneyto will be launching her SHAM Gallery (@shamgalleryldn) at Stand Eb9. Be sure to visit to see the site specific installation by Elena Hoskyns-Abrahall alongside silver jewellery works.
