Congratulations to AWAD Member, Carolina Santiago of CSB Fine Arts, New York who has opened her inaugural exhibition with a show by Samuel E. Vázquez.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and raised in New York City, Samuel E Vázquez (b. 1970) is a contemporary visual artist whose practice is rooted in the vibrant subway painting era of the 1970s–80s. His work elevates overlooked materials and markings, transforming them into reflections on identity, community, and the true meaning of home.
The exhibition reflects Carolina’s mission to champion contemporary Latin American and Puerto Rican artists. It runs until 3 November 2025 at CSB Fine Arts, 81 Prospect St., Suite 104, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
