London Art Fair provides an established home for Modern British Art, whilst embracing an increasingly international and contemporary outlook, with new galleries from around the world. AWAD Members interested in a ticket to the fair should contact AWAD's Membership & Partnership Manager.
To start the New Year, we are running a three-part series on tackling the 'nuts and bolts' of business, starting with insurance, with guest speakers from Gallagher Fine Arts Insurance. Speakers, Ellen Ross and Cheryl Karim, will be discussing how to protect your art business in the face of changing risks such as cybersecurity and business disruption. AWAD Members are invited to a Fine Art Salon Talk, Icon Dialogues: Michael Findlay on Thursday, January 30th, 4PM ET. Join us for an engaging conversation where Michael Findlay, Director of Acquavella Galleries, poet, essayist, and author, will share insights into the art world and his career in conversation with notable New York Art consultant, Vivian Ebersman. Michael Findlay’s published works include The Value of Art – Money, Power, Beauty; Seeing Slowly – Looking at Modern Art; and his latest memoir, Portrait of the Art Dealer as a Young Man – New York in the Sixties. In February 2025, Affordable Art Fair Brussels will return for its 16th edition. An array of Belgian and international galleries will showcase 1000s of affordable contemporary artworks. There will be something for every space, taste and budget! AWAD member Arteria Gallery will be at the fair, 6-9 February 2025 (vernissage 5 February). The Collect Art Fair returns to Somerset House, London for its 21st edition on 28 February - 2 March 2025 (previews 26th and 27th February by invitation). A pop-up exhibition to celebrate contemporary Welsh Art in St David's Week. AWAD member, Sara McKee, FRSA, of Life in Full Colour Gallery, presents an evening of art, conversation and camaraderie to celebrate 21 years of her Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts and 270 years of the RSA.
