Due to popular demand, Gallery Q Dundee has extended their winter show through January 27th, 2024. The exhibition is wide ranging across all media. It contains work by over 60 artists from oil painting to ceramics, from jewelry to prints and sculpture to textiles.
The gallery is featuring new work from Frank To, Aliisa Hyslop, Deborah Phillips, Fiona Sturrock and Graham Wands to name but a few. As well as welcoming two new artists to the gallery: Heather Burton who is based in Yorkshire and loves to paint Scottish landscapes; and Lorna Kirkwood-Smith, a graduate from Edinburgh College of Art just returning to painting after a career in other work.
They are also showcasing the work of a recent graduate from the University of the Highlands and Islands, Isla Mae Jacobs. Her art practice is based on collecting, creating and observing. Three of her sculptures developed on the theme of the uncanny are on show.
