Insight Artspace has joined forces with the Loyalty Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides funding and programming for STEM and technology-based educational opportunities for underserved K-12 youth, to present a virtual art auction and exhibition that will run through October. A portion of sales proceeds will be directed to the Loyalty Foundation’s Covid Crisis inspired new program, Devices4All. All funds raised for Loyalty will be earmarked to purchase devices supporting continuation of educational and therapeutic services for children with limited access to resources and equal opportunity.

The fundraiser will feature a total of 11 women international artists from diverse backgrounds, each of whom will be providing two works that are available on Artsy starting in September. The live streaming event will take place on September 24th, 2020 at 7:00pm and will include a 60 minute meet and greet with artists who will discuss their works and journeys.

INSIGHT ARTSPACE founder and AWAD member Catherine Testorf believes art is an essential, healing life component, a philosophy that drives her desire to stimulate intercultural exchanges through cross-disciplinary art interventions inspiring a more intimate appreciation of the works. Breaking with the traditional “white box” format, Testorf aims to make art more accessible in a variety of intimate settings, but also to create collaborative experiences with different art expressions such as fashion, music or dance.

“We are so excited to be a part of this collaboration with the Loyalty Foundation. The Covid-19 Pandemic has only heightened awareness of inequities and the movement towards equality and diversity,” says Testorf. “Art has the power to memorialize human experience and shape culture, but for too long, the art world has offered a predominately white male perspective and excluded the voices and participation of others such as women and minorities.”
