| Biography | Gita Joshi has an art history background and trained in curating at Central St. Martins. She opened her award winning gallery, Orso Major, in central London in 2013 and after leaving the premises in 2016, the gallery continued online til 2019. Gita has been a Producer for Artist’s Open Studios programs, organised open exhibitions, been a juror for art competitions and curated exhibitions in business spaces as well as within the gallery context. Since 2018 she has been the podcast host and editor at The Curator’s Salon. She works with artists in a coaching and mentoring capacity to help them establish their early careers. As an independent curator Gita develops and delivers virtual exhibitions at The Curator’s Salon. She also works with collectives and art organisations to deliver exhibition programs.
