Online RMB Turbine Art Fair August 27th – September 2nd

AWAD member galleries StArt Art Gallery and Guns & Rain are pleased to announce that they will be participating in the eighth annual, though first time virtual, Turbine Art Fair.

RMB Turbine Art Fair (RMB TAF) is a unique South African Art fair that brings together exhibitors from around the SADC region to present, sell and celebrate works. The fair is the epicentre of emerging  art in South Africa. It presents a space for the showcasing of established and new talent in an environment that is immersive, accessible and inclusive. The ONLINE RMB TAF will take place from 28 August 2020 – 02 September  2020. Exhibitors will have a dedicated virtual viewing room where they will display their artwork with interactive messaging and behind the scenes content. The fair is free this year but requires registration to access the viewing rooms.

StArt Art Gallery will present Finding Power – their virtual exhibition made up of works by sculptor and printmaker Elisia Nghidishange, painter Nicky Marais and mixed media artist Fillipus Sheehama.

Guns and Rain will present LONDOLOZA NJALO by Sanelisiwe Nkonyane (eSwatini/Swaziland) as part of their viewing room.

The RMB Turbine Art Fair is offering a rich array of fair related programming. Dr. Julie Taylor Guns & Rain’s founder will participate in a panel discussion The Southern African Art Economy in Covid-Times on September 1st. To register please use this link.
