Slow Art at Village West Gallery

Village West Gallery is pleased to present Slow Art – Thoughtful art that rewards a long look.
Today’s mode of thinking around visual imagery is closely tied to social media, advertising and instant gratification. We are conditioned to scroll, swipe and digest imagery in a flash and then move on to the next.  Slow Art is an exhibition dedicated to works that intentionally slows down the senses and creates a space for contemplation. 20 local, regional and national artists with a wide range of styles and methods of expression have been selected by co-curators Diana Schmertz and Robinson Holloway. Featured Artists include –
David Baskin, Jimbo Blachly, Sharela Bonfield, Alexandra Brock, Patricia Cazorla & Nancy Saleme, Pam Cooper, Alexis Duque, Cathy
Ellis, Peter Gynd, Jeanne Heifetz,Gosha Karpowicz, Anki King, Megan Klim, Ezra Mara, Vikki Michalios, Joshua Mintz, David Rios Ferreira, Gail Rothschild and Rachael Wren.
The exhibit is ongoing through December 6, 2019
