When the pandemic caused schools across the nation to go remote in March 2020, arts institutions were no exception. As students made the difficult transition to Zoom lectures and online exams, many fine arts students faced additional challenges: What space would they make work in? How could they collaborate with others? What would they do without access to usual materials and equipment? As the 2020/2021 school year came to a close with no end to the pandemic in sight, many students realized that they could not present their final projects in the usual year-end capacity.
Susan Eley Fine Art would like to devote the Summer of 2021 to recognize and celebrate art students around the country with two exhibitions in our New York location. They wish to congratulate these young artists on the completion of their schooling with an exhibition of work by those who graduated in the year 2020 or 2021, with either a BFA or MFA. Submissions close on MAY 1st.
The gallery is excited to announce their partnership with Walter’s Cube, who is generously donating their time and technology for our series of student exhibitions this summer. Walter’s Cube digitizes exhibitions as fully explorable 360-degree 3D spaces. In addition to digitizing the two physical exhibitions in our New York City gallery, the gallery plans to host additional virtual programming, featuring the art of 2020 and 2021’s talented graduates.
