AWAD is pleased to welcome director of The Tree Art Gallery, Emmeline Hallmark as our newest Global Chapter member. The gallery, is an online art gallery specialising in art of and from The Tree by a select group of Britain’s leading artists.
As is our practice with new members, we asked Emmeline to share some of her background and a bit about her business.
What is the name of your business and where are you located? When did you start?
The Tree Art Gallery is an online gallery. We launched in January 2022.
What is your professional background?
Art Specialist, advisor and curator
What inspired you to take the leap and start your own business?
Throughout my career I have always wanted to bring art about nature to broader audiences and believe that the Tree Art Gallery does just that. I had a clear vision of the art of Trees that I wanted to sell and realised that no-one else was specialising in.
What does your business offer, in terms of goods and services?
We offer artworks in various medium on the theme of The Tree including paintings, prints, photography, sculpture and furniture available to buy now or as bespoke commissions alongside art advisory and curatorial assistance.
What excites you about having joined the Association of Women Art Dealers?
A group of likeminded business women.
What brings you joy in your work?
The artworks and seeing the joy that they give to others.
If you were a work of art, what piece would you be and why?
I would be a landscape painting by JMW Turner full of live and vivacity and a tribute to the natural world!
