Biography

Norma Krieger is a Pratt Institute graduate, educator, curator, photographer, and film producer. Her professional background is varied and accomplished in the corporate industry, academic institutions, and cultural institutions.  She has worked for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Worldwide, N.Y., and Black Enterprise Magazine; she has taught at Rochester Institute of Technology and Pratt Institute Graduate School.

For fourteen years, Norma was a senior art buyer, print producer for Ogilvy & Mather, N.Y. (O&M), the legendary Madison Avenue advertising, marketing, and communications agency. She produced large, complex, print production projects with a $10 Million annual budgets, working on fortune 500 brands such as IBM and American Express. Norma simultaneously managed monthly exhibitions at Ogilvy & Mather’s (O&M) exclusive corporate gallery.

Also, Norma is the owner of the BROOKLYN | ART SALON | PRIVATE GALLERY. The Art Salon’s series is the educational component and arm of the Krieger Creative Group (KCG).  The Art Salons are held to showcase visual artists; host forums and gatherings of art aesthetics conversations to help foster ideas. The Art Salon has held rare discussions that of which are typically relegated to academic and cultural institutions attended by artists and art enthusiasts who take the time to participate, contribute and engage in meaningful conversations on art.

Norma serves as chair of the Pratt Institute Alumni Network NYC, responsible for yearlong programming and alumni engagement at NYC venues. In 2018 Norma formed the KRIEGER | ELEY (K/E) partnership with Susan Davis-Eley (K/E) represents professional art experience in branding, marketing, and cross-promotion that collectively spans 30 years.

As a photographer, Norma has published (3) Mini books, a collector’s series entitled “Visions, St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands, the 1700s to Present”. Her sepia-tone photographs celebrate the beauty and history of Norma Krieger’s beloved Caribbean island birthplace.
